My name is Christine Crowley and I established Tailblazers Pet Sitting Service in November 2003. After a decade of working in corporate America, I was fortunate enough to be laid off, forcing me to pursue something that far better suited me. I naturally gravitated towards pet sitting and found that hanging out with animals all day was pretty cool. Now my ‘business casual’ consists of rubber boots and mud covered clothes. I have to say I wouldn’t change a thing! Originally from the East Coast, (Hingham, MA and U Maine grad) I decided to venture out West in 1994. After a few years in Portland, I spent some time in San Francisco and Boston, as well as a year traveling in Asia, Australia, New Zealand and South America. After checking out lots of great places, my dog Owen and I decided that Portland was the place we most wanted to call home. We have been back in Portland for 7 years and with 5 years of pet sitting under my belt, I have had the pleasure of meeting many pets of all shapes and sizes around town. I can honestly say that working with animals is truly a pleasure, although not always glamorous! I look forward to many more years of fun and adventure with the pets of Portland!
